Dear reader,
Recently, FRIDA celebrated its first birthday and we’re so proud of the community we built in only a year! It’s also been almost a year since we started hosting book clubs and FRIDA, and wow, y’all showed up <3. Over 200 people signed up so far and we’re starting to see lots of familiar faces every month (or week!). And a very big thank you to Nick for hosting the fantasy book club (and sometimes nonfiction).
From the start, we’ve been thinking about doing a ‘big book’ club every once in a while, as the limit for ‘regular’ book club books is 500 pages. After some thinking and great ideas from Nick, we’ve come up with the following plan:
Short books summer: in July and August we’ll read short books, under 200 pages.
Big book September: in September we’ll read a biiiig book. Hopefully with the shorter summer books and the summer holidays it’ll be manageable for everyone to finish the big book by September. We've done some voting (if you would like to join the voting next time, fill out this form), and here's the plan for this summer!
